I would highly recommend Dave for any senior leader who is seeking leadership development. Dave was my executive coach and provided great insights and ideas as I navigated my new VP/ GM role. He has great business acumen and is particularly helpful with new leader assimilation. Dave also coached my leadership team and helped us to develop a concise strategic narrative for our business. This was a highly effective management tool to focus our entire organization and drive improved execution.

Strategic Narrative

A strategic narrative is an imagined future.  It sets the stage by interpreting the relevant history and current conditions.  It defines the challenges to be addressed, and it describes how those challenges will be met.  A strategic narrative establishes the fundamental understandings that let people find their place, becoming part of the story and take right actions in the face of a changing environment.  All good stories have a compelling plot to drive the story along.  The goal of a leader is to show where we are in the story and to suggest how the plot should unfold.

Process and Organization Design

Process and organization design involves mapping a journey. In the case of business process, this means analyzing the “as-is” situation – how work flows from inception to completion, then collaborating with people across the process to identify breakdowns and slow spots. A ‘to-be” scenario can be built out to highlight the process journey for specific end-to-end processes or sub-processes, and show the integration of processes across the organization.

Change Management

Change management in organizational life is about adapting to new conditions; it is practices aimed at transitioning people, teams and organizations from where they are now to a future state.

We look to four key areas when defining change actions and outcomes: Tools & Systems; Processes; Organization design; and Associate behavior (Culture).

Executive and Leadership Coaching

We take an in-the-moment approach to coaching designed to focus consistent attention on specific areas. The consultant's role is that of a strategic sounding board, giving leaders an opportunity to bounce ideas back and forth, re-frame their thinking, and find new possibilities for action. This is not an open-ended development process; all activities are structured around a learning roadmap that leads to defined desired outcomes.
